- Jessica Brannock, a 2007 graduate of Appalachian State University, is the new GIS Planner at the High Country Council of Governments (Region D). Jessica replaces Scott Huffman, who took a new position in the Atlanta area.
- Stephanie Osbourn is the new GIS Technician at the City of Asheville. This is a new position for Asheville.
- Danitza Earls is the new GIS Analyst at Buncombe County, though she was previously at the Little Tennessee Watershed Landtrust. Danitza replaces Karen Brown, who left for a new job.
