New USGS North Carolina Water Science Center drought web pages

To our partners and information users:

The USGS North Carolina Water Science Center drought information web pages have recently been updated. You will find the portal to these pages at http://nc.water.usgs.gov/drought/. Much of the information presented on these pages was collected by the USGS in partnership with a number of Local, State, and Federal agencies who assist us in supporting our hydrologic data networks.

Included on the pages are

  • Maps showing below normal streamflow for river basins and specific streamgaging sites
  • Maps showing streamflow conditions based on the previous 7, 14, 30, 60, and 90 days of record
  • Real-time ground-water conditions for 24 climatic response wells across the state
    Reservoir water levels
  • Links to USGS real-time streamflow and ground-water data
  • Climatic information, and links to a variety of other data

We hope you find this information useful. Please let us know how we can improve the delivery of our data and products to you.
