ESRI 2 day Introduction to ArcGIS I classes

*** NOTE *** Date change from original post. The second course offering was originally scheduled for Mon/Tues March 24/25. The college is closed that Monday so the dates have been adjusted to Tues/Wed March 25/26.

Come to Asheville (or stay in Asheville) and get a great base for learning GIS. This March, we are offering 2 seperate ESRI Authorized GIS courses.

WHEN: Saturday/Sunday March 8th and 9th OR Tuesday/Wednesday March 25th and 26th
WHERE: Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College - Balsam Technology Computer Center room 108
COST: $450 / class (same class costs $980 if taken at ESRI)

Each course comes complete with an ESRI course certificate, AB Tech Continuing Education Certificate, an evaluation copy of ArcGIS and the course materials (lab and lecture books).

We have also worked out a guided beginner mountain bike tour in Dupont State Forest the day before or after each class at a discounted rate ($50 instead of $75) if anyone is interested. Please call for more information and see http://www.browndogadventuretours.com/tours_mountain_biking.html.

Each course is 16 hours worth of training. The classes are scheduled from 8:30-5-00 pm on each day of the training.

Those completing this course will be able to:

• Describe the structure of ArcGIS Desktop software.
• Display geographic data.
• Query a GIS database.
• Edit geographic data.
• Associate tables using joins and relates.
• Create maps, reports, and graphs.
