Hello fellow GISers. Lovely fall we're having!
I wanted to let you all know that the Buncombe County Aerials from 2006 are now available for download off our internet site: http://www.buncombecounty.org/governing/depts/GIS/. The files are broken up into tiles that correspond with the aerial imagery grid, also available for download. All of the files have projection information and metadata. They are in MrSID format, compression ratio 20:1.
WARNING: If you're using ESRI's ArcGIS 9.2, there is a known issue with projection of MrSID files. If you find they are not lining up (probable) please refer to the associated metadata for projection information.
